The HTC P3470 Now in India

HTC has announced its latest GPS-enabled PDA phone in the country, the P3470. The phone was first unveiled at the Mobile World Congress 2008.

Combining a lightweight design, large screen, navigation wheel, and macro lens, the P3470 sets a new standard in affordable smart phones that double as GPS-based devices, HTC claims.
The P3470 is a Windows Mobile 6 device that sports a 2.8-inches QVGA TFT LCD touch-screen and 2 mega pixels camera, and bundles a 1GB microSD card; it comes with 256MB of Flash and 128MB of internal memory. Standing 108mm tall, the phone claims to have a simple interface for accessing Web pages, documents, messages, contact lists, and more.

"The GPS-enabled HTC P3470 integrates great form factor into an innovative and high-powered phone and aims to take location-based experiences to the next level," said Ajay Sharma, country manager of HTC India at launch.

The P3470 retails for around Rs 19,900.
